This is a tribute to the musician with a day job, who does it in spite of no money no fame and no adulation. The album starts with the song " Get In THE BACK OF THE VAN" it ends with the song "Bowery 3am" The cast of characters on GIG includes The great guitar legend Richard Lloyd of the punk pioneers TELEVISION,also Mathew Sweet's seminal "Girlfriend" album. I have Andy Shernoff on bass for a track, Andy was in the great NYC band THE DICTATORS, legends themselves.Dennis Diken of The Smithereens plays drums on every track but one. James Mastro from the Bongo's, Ian Hunter, Robert Plant plays on a track, As does the wonderful Jon Graboff formerly of Ryan Adam's Band the Cardinals, now currently playing with Shooter Jennings. Keyboards by Andy Burton of Ian Hunter,Ronnie Spector, Garland Jefferies and many other studio sessions. The art work is done by LOU BEACH ,illustrator for the NY Times,Business Week, who has done album covers for Neville Bros "Fire on the Bayou", Parliment Funkadelic guitarist Eddie Hazel,Ennio Morricone,The Carpenters,Blink 182,Weird Al Yankovic,Dave Alvin, Weather Report. The cd was mastered by KRAMER, Galaxie 500,Bongwater, Urge Overkill are among his credits.
