Siberian is a heavy metal band from Linköping, Sweden. The band name is not taken from the vast nothern region of Russia but from a small town in Scandinavia. Siberian are influenced from northern american sludge and post-metal, to which they add doses of eurasian folk music. Their first album "Modern Age Mausoleum" was also the first chapter in the "Age Trilogy". It displays a dark view of the modern society and is influenced by dystopian literature. During the two years after the debut, the band documented of all their personal dreams in diaries. The material became the foundation of their second release in the trilogy named "Through Ages of Sleep". The album explores the subconscious mind in dreams and is portrayed both sonically and lyrically.
