Sibylle Pomorin is a German composer born in 1956. She studied at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik in Münster from 1975 until 1980, specialising in flute and saxophone. In 1984-85, she studied composition under Ernst Bechert in Hamburg, and attended further courses and classes under Dieter Schnebel, John Tchicai, Alice Shields, and Eliane Radigue. Pomorin's music has been performed by herself and others in Europe, Israel, the US, Argentina, and Australia. She has worked in the studios of the Columbia-Princeton Electronic Music Center in New York, the Center for Art and Media in Karlsruhe, Germany, the Technische Universität in Berlin and the Nederlandse Programma Stichting in Hilversum, the Netherlands.
