Side A is an instrumental, it says 'du film 'il bidone', for which Nino Rota indeed wrote the music. But since jazz drummer Marcel Blanche is co-credited as composer (he played on many Sidney Bechet recordings), the track will most likely have been the band's adaptation of the piece rather than it having been part of the OST of this 1955 Italian motion picture (director Frederico Fellini's follow-up to La Strada). Side B is actually an instrumental version of Lonnie Donegan's 'Rock Island Line' with a spoken intro and coda, both about a train bound for Lyon where one would meet 'des vaches', 'des moutons' and 'des cochons'. Not very complimentary for the passengers, surely.... The co-write credits for Fernand Bonifay must then be for these spoken parts in French. The 'vocalist' is most likely Bechet himself, given the strong English accent. Both tracks were compiled on 1958's untitled LP Vogue LDM 30.066 (see )
