This is an original French vinyl pressing from 1955 on Vogue LDM 30.014 and LDM 30.015. It is a two record box set, some are numbered and autographed inside the front cover by Sidney Bechet, Claude Luter and Andre Reweliotty in blue pen. The records are held in cardboard pockets and there are metal rivets holding these to the inner spine. There is a black and white photo inside the box, attached to the front of the pockets (from the backstage while he is playing live). Each cardboard pocket has wax paper inner sleeves. On the inside left of the box are complete credits in French. It has an article in French, record numbers, track listings, band leaders and band members and the small box with the number and the autographs. On the inside of the back cover are highlights of press articles about the show. The front of the box has a black and white photo of Sidney accepting a gold record award. The gold lettering on the front of the box is raised. The back of the box is textured and all black. The left spine has the titles in gold lettering. The records are pressed on thick rigid vinyl. The music was recorded live in Paris, France on October 19th, 1955 at the Olympia. Sidney Bechet introduces each song. There is very enthusiastic cheering before the start and after each song. The quality of this live recording is excellent. He plays clarinet with two backing bands. He plays his big hits "Wild Cat Blues" and "Kansas City Man Blues", and many other famous hits of the day.
