Musician / Conductor of Classical
German conductor. Born: January 10, 1935 - Dresden, Germany Siegfried Heinrich, gained his first musical experiences as a child in the Dresdner Kreuzchor and with organ lessons. As early as twelve years he led group rehearsals and acted as piano and organ accompanist of the Dresdner Kreuzchor. After graduation he left the Musikhochschule der DDR for political reasons and moved to Frankfurt / M. , where he studied at the local Musikhochschule as a scholarship holder of the State of Hesse. Siegfried Heinrich worked among others as a lecturer at the Musikakademie of Kassel and from 1961 to 2000 as a church music director of the town of Bad Hersfeld. He founded, inter alia, the Bad Hersfelder Festspielkonzerte (Bad Hersfeld Festival Concerts, 1961), the International Bachtage (1974) and Bad Hersfelder Opernfestspiele (Bad Hersfeld Opera Festival, 1980), whose artistic director he is now.
