Simon Kennedy (Dubplate Disco) developed his love for soul & dance music from the very early eighties, listening and learning from some of the early London pirate stations, His love for dj’ing started a little later on in 1985. He learnt the craft and earned his stripes from playing at clubs & running his own sound system in South London. He had slots on pirate stations all over the country and played at some of the earliest raves, After the rare groove explosion he later went on to champion the US garage/soulful and disco house sound since 1987 & stayed loyal to the sound despite changing music trends. He also had his own record shop and has run numerous club nights over the years. Recently has been releasing tracks with Midnight Riot Records & Tropical Disco Records all of which have been heavily supported by DJ’s worldwide.
