Simona Castricum is a musician, designer and writer from Melbourne Australia. She works a solo musician, DJ and producer releasing through Melbourne queer feminist label LISTEN Records. Simona’s live performances use the stage as space for catharsis, for self-confrontation and for cardio-electronic percussion events; a one-woman industrial rave delivered from smoke haze and laser beams. Simona Castricum’s career in music has spanned 16 years writing and producing six albums as a solo artist formerly as Fluorescent and Simona Kapitolina. Her side projects have included Ana Nicole and Transpixies. Simona was the creator of queer music label Girls Who Smoke Poke and club night The Shock Of The New.
