Born in Africa but raised in Cardiff, UK. Was educated at Ysgol Gymraeg Bryntaf and Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Glantaf. After leaving school he headed for Aberystwyth to study at university before graduating. He settled there and became Mayor of the town for a period and become politically affiliated with Plaid Cymru [The Party of Wales]. He also became an author of a number of books about Wales.
