Born on November 20, 1987 in Los Angeles, California, USA, Siouxsie is also an actress, but arguably best known as the lead guitarist for Dead Sara. Medley began styling her first name as "Siouxsie" around 2005, as a nod to the Sioux Indians tribe and the Native American heritage of one of her great-grandparents (rather than a reference to the musical artist Siouxsie Sioux). Siouxsie is the only female guitarist to ever be nominated as a top 10 finalist for Loudwire.com's "Guitarist of the Year" award. She was nominated in 2012 after the release of Dead Sara's debut album.
