SIX-8 begun in 2000 with six personnes from the alternative scene from Nantes / France. They practise with Members covers, but soon they write their own songs , old school punk, with reggae and ska , 2-Tone combat-rock influenced by UK 80's The Clash , The Ruts, Stiff... First album «Electricity» was recorded in 2002 with trombone and trumpet when the band was a 6 pieces, and out on label WCM. It is a mix of punk rock , ska dubs.... In 2004 the band moved to a 4 pieces line-up and the second album «The Chance» was recorded in 2005 in Barcelona and out on Mass Prod'. This album is more punk-rock than the first one. The "Barrington Road" third album was recorded in 2007-2008 in Barrington Road in Brixton/London at Inner Terrestrials studio. It is a mix of punk rock with reggae and ska parts. Six-8 do not tour easily as the band members are professionnal musicians: Grand Lolo (guitar / vocals) plays in Hellscrack, Elmer Food Beat, Cash Stevens.... Michel (drums) plays in Ma Valise .... Morvan (bass) plays in Rue d'la Gouaille....
