Jazz and Pop
This was a pseudonym, often used on Banner, Regal (3) and other Regal Record Company, Inc.-produced labels that were marketed & distributed by the Plaza Music Company. It was applied to numerous releases, often material obtained from other studios, but also to house bands and impromptu studio groups that were not associated with a specific orchestra. Comparison with corresponding non-pseudonymous issues has allowed for reliable identification of actual artists on some of these releases. Where these have been identified, an effort will be made to mention the real artist in the notes section of these releases. Some of the artists that used the "Six Black Diamonds" pseudonym include: Fletcher Henderson And His Orchestra Joseph Samuels' Orchestra Nathan Glantz And His Orchestra New Orleans Jazz Band Lou Gold And His Orchestra Adrian Schubert's Salon Orchestra Sam Lanin And His Dance Orchestra Max Terr And His Orchestra California Ramblers
