Skepticism

Band, *1991 FI, Riihimäki
Rock

Depressing Funeral Doom Metal act Skepticism was formed in the late '80s/early '90s and has become one of the darkest bands in the genre. After two demos ("Towards My End" in 1991 and "AEOTHE KAEAR" two years later), the band gained popularity and was able to sign with Red Stream for their 1995 debut "Stormcrowfleet". The band become incredibly famous for being able to mantain the same line-up since their second demo in 1993 and still be able to bring forth innovation. "Ethere" and "Lead and Aether" were released in 1997 and 1998 respectively and were able to enlarge and expand their fanbase thanks to the epic song "The March and the Stream", voted and displayed by many resources as one of (if not the) most depressing songs ever recorded. In 2002 the band released a preview EP of the heavily awaited "Farmakon" album, titled "Process of Farmakon". The actual full length album was eventually released the following year. It wasn't until 2008 that the band released their fourth album, "Alloy". This was easily the best-produced Skepticism album so far, a fact which divided fans' opinions on it.
