The Skeptics, founded in 1979 in the city of Palmerston North, New Zealand, were an Electronic / Avant Garde experimental band. Their music combined 'traditional instrumentation with electronic and machine-based rhythm and sound.' Their first recordings were for Furtive and, when that label shut down, they moved to Flying Nun Records.
