Bill Slater is an award-winning video editor and president of Edit Alchemy, LLC, his own production company. A singer and prolific songwriter, Slater claims a wide variety of musical influences, from Aerosmith to Frank Zappa. On Creatures of Habit, Slater can be heard playing Takamine 6-string and Ovation 12-string acoustic guitars, Chet Atkins 6-string acoustic/electric guitar, Fender Stratocaster & Ibanez 6-string electric guitars, Martin acoustic/electric bass guitar and Yamaha P90 MIDI keyboard. Mike Shellans is on the music faculty of Arizona State University and has taught such courses as Jazz in America, Popular Music, The Beatles and Elvis Presley to over 30,000 students. Formerly a professional trombonist, Shellans now plays jazz piano throughout the Phoenix area. Shellans performs on keyboard on the new album, as well as Gibson F4 mandolin, Harmony electric mandolin, Gibson tenor guitar, Martin tenor guitar, Vega tenor guitar, Earnest electric tenor guitar, Yanuziello electric mandola, Martin baritone ukulele, and Conn and Bach trombones.
