A.k.a. Trevor Eli Smith
In 1998, a young homeless poet began writing lyrics for the underground electronic band, Foxgluv. He evolved into a MC, performing under the moniker "Sly Baba" and delivering encrypted psychedelic rhymes at West Coast parties from 1998-2004. When Foxgluv disbanded in 2004, Sly Baba teamed up with infamous IDM composer, Rodman, at the Kitchen Studio in Santa Cruz, CA. The duo co-produced a project called Indivisible Inc., and along with guitarist Sage and vocalist Cheyenne Sun Hill created the stillborn-superband "The Art of Death" (AOD). AOD recorded yet-to-be released tracks with Sylvia Massy, the producer behind the debut albums of Tool and System of a Down, in the Fall of 2005. Sly Baba is currently working on a solo album on the outskirts of Washington, D.C.
