A.k.a. Hot-Ice

Smash their album was first released in Europe by Polydor Germany in 1977 under the title Hot Ice, which was the follow up to White Heat (4) (RCA 1974), a name Barry White controlled, but released the band and formed the Motown group Switch (6). In 1979 the album was released by Source/MCA under the group name Smash, where Randy, Mark and El DeBarge were included in the group backing up this album. Consequently Motown signed DeBarge.
