So Called Friend continues his steady rise since tearing onto the German club scene in 2009 with the chart topping "Fever". Repeating this effort in 2010 with "Hands" and recently dropping his official single for the follow up "Feet", the Australian born, Hamburg based artist is doing big things all over Europe. Garnering the respect of peers and fans alike with his upfront no nonsense ALL nonsense sound, So Called Friend sets are fun noisy joyrides you won't forget in a hurry. And as the demands for his production have steadily increased so has the original content of his live sets. Always needing take things to the next level, So Called Friend's recent incorporation of guest MCs and his own vocals into sets continue to set him apart from the usual dj/producer solo acts and his ongoing approach to creating an indefinable sound have made sure his production and live sets are in constant demand. His recent collaborations and slew of remixes for the likes of Fukkk Offf (Coco Machete/Citizen Records), Sharam Jey (King Kong Records), Dirty Disco Youth (OMGITM/DIM MAK), Jan Delay (Universal), Malente (No Brainer/Fool's Gold/Southern Fried) have been getting plenty of love in in the 'must hear' electro charts around the world and with his most recent release "Near Impossible" with Marc Deal (Moonbootique Records) rising up the Deutsche Club Charts (hitting #6 after just 3 weeks) we suspect this is just the beginning...
