Single release reissue of two separate Voiceprint releases from 2001 : Soft Machine Turns On Volume 1 and Soft Machine Turns On Volume 2 Disc 1: Tracks 1, 3 : recorded April 1967 at DeLane Lea Studios, London UK. [only "Various UK studio" in the liner notes] Tracks 2, 11: Recorded 22 September 1967, at Vitus Studio, Bussum (Netherlands). [only "European studio" in the liner notes] Tracks 4, 5, 7, 12 : recorded 5 December 1967 at BBC Radio Studios, London UK. [only "Various UK studio" in the liner notes] Track 6, 8 : recorded June 1967 at Sound Techniques, Chelsea, UK. [only "Various UK studio" in the liner notes] Tracks 9, 10, 13 to 16: recorded 10 November 1967 at Middle Earth, London, UK. [also "Speakeasy Club" in the liner notes] Track 14 - This is an instrumental interpretation by Mike Ratledge based on the chord sequence of the middle section of the Kevin Ayers song 'May I?'. Disc 2: Tracks 1 to 5 - Concertgebouw, Amsterdam, Netherlands 10th December 1967. Track 6 - Middle Earth, London, UK, 10th December 1967 Tracks 7 to 14 - Col Ballroom, Davenport, Iowa, USA - 22th August, 1968. Track 2-1 and 2-13 wrongly titled "Moon in June" are in fact respectively "That's How Much I Need You Now" and "You Don't Remember" Track 2-14 wrongly titled "Esther's Nose Job" is in fact an Improvisation followed by "10:30 Return To The Bedroom" Special thanks to Christine Hopper.
