American record producer and executive of Latvian/Ukrainian-Jewish descent, born in Bronx, New York April 26, 1924 – died March 16, 2013. He founded Baton Records in the 50's. He joined Columbia Records in 1961 and relaunched Okeh label. He was then the vice president of CBS International from 1966, and set up Greek division of CBS, CBS Records Of Greece S.A. in the 70's.
