So, a little backstory on this project, A while back the six of us got together to discuss a new Something Brothers project. Initially none of us were quite sure what would become of it. Talks of reunion shows had come and gone over the years, and it was apparent we wanted to do something different. No one wanted to simply replay the same old songs. We like them as much as anyone, but we were ready to do something new. Scott floated the idea of recording an album of new material and by the end of the meeting we were all on board. The six of us were finally on the same page; ready, after all these years, to do something we should have done a long time ago... make some music. Clay had long since relocated to Nashville to pursue his own musical career, and like déjà vu, Greg was back in the fold again. Songs were written, demos were made, rehearsals were underway but somewhere along the line Dean fell out of the metaphorical van. As the project progressed, it became apparent he just wasn't "all in" on this. Needless to say, our concept for the whole project changed. What once was slated to be a full album, turned into a catalyst for future song development; a way to continually add to the project in the future. A work-in-progress (WIP). We all know there are a lot more songs we want to create and record, and in time, that's what we plan to do. And, if Dean ever finds his way back to the van, he knows he's welcome to join in the chaos. With this recording, we didn't want to methodically recreate what we've done in the past, but we also didn't want a complete departure. What you'll probably find here is a bit of both. So, with that in mind, we hope you enjoy these songs and are as entertained as we were with making them. The Something Brothers
