Somnus Corp were formed in 2000 in Guadalajara Mexico and was driven by the solid and deep friendship of Beto Rodriguez, Gabriel Sordo and Jorge Lopez. They started to make a noise in the underground scene of Guadalajara for the remixes they did for local bands like "Sussie 4" and "Telefunka". They also became known for their live performances and reworks by their live alter ego's "Oceano 303", "Forward" and "Jorge". Beto Rodriguez has more than 13 years experience in DJ residencies in almost every major night club in guadalajara where he has been an essential component in promoting house music into the city. Jorge Lopez, with half of his life in the late 80's playing in new wave & new romantic bands, got the house music bug when he finally discovered the other side of music, house music. Gabriel with just 6 years as a DJ has already become one of the best 5 DJ's in his genre around Mexico, with residencies all over the country with Moshic and Randall Jones. He has already shared the decks with some of the biggest names in the business such as Sander Kleinenberg, Sasha, John Digweed, Danny Howells, Chris Fortier, Hernan Cattaneo, Dave Seaman, Nick Warren, Jimmy Van M, Steve Porter and Lee Burridge to name a few. Their music has been regularly supported and charted by the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren , Sander Kleinenberg, Kosmas Epsilon , Chris Salt , Moshic and Derek Howell.
