Sonic Noyz is a house music production brand comprising of producers, musicians, Dj's and songwriters who all came from a production and live performance backgrounds before joining forces. The group was officially founded in 2011 by Gauta Lenake and Hanyani Mangwani but started working together in 2008 as individuals, producing an Afro-Jazz track "Reason" for Pretoria based vocalist Masello ( Channel 0 face of house music). The track landed on a compilation (South Africa's Music) released for MIDEM 2011, a world music conference held in Cannes, France. The compilation was an initiative of the Department of Arts & Culture and AIRCO (Association of Independent Record Companies) which included artists such as Pops Mohammed, Sizwe Zakho and Mahotella Queens. In July 2011, Sonic Noyz released their first official single "All I Thought It Would Be" which featured Malebo on vocals. The single received fair airplay on YFM 99.2 and the group was also featured on Mix FM 93,8 on the show "UNSIGNED HYPE" hosted by Kwaang the Native. Film producers also took notice and as a result the group contributed a soundtrack for feature scenes on a local movie "48". Sonic Noyz has developed a very distinctive style and sound by fusing Afro, Deep, Soul, Jazz, Pop, Gospel & R&B elements on a house beat, making their records sounding unique and original. In early 2012, Sonic Noyz released the EP, Someday which Malebo on vocals which was a run away success climbing charts on Afrodesiamp3.com and was hailed by Dj's Locally and Abroad. The group has been creating some serious buzz on the underground scene, especially overseas featuring on many DJ Mixtapes and oline radio stations.
