Sonja Jordan (synthesizer) made a most welcome addition to the Merry Thoughts in late '83. In 1996 all other members exept she and Marvin left the band, so up until 2000 they both still played live with the help of some of their friends and continued to record and write new material. Personal reasons made it impossible for Sonja to stay and she left The Merry Thoughts in October 2000 immediately after what was to be the band's last live appearance.
