Booklet: "In November of 1882, when he was living in The Hague, Vincent van Gogh made a series of six lithographs. One of them was Sorrow. The model was Sien Hoornik, the woman he was living with at the time. Van Gogh wanted to make prints with scenes from everyday life that would appeal to the broad public and were also affordable. 'The price of the sheets', he wrote to his brother Theo, '...must not exceed 10 or at most 15 cents'. In the spirit of this gesture, the Van Gogh Foundation issued a print of Sorrow, for the exhibition of Vincent van Gogh's lesser known graphic art. The text above is an extract from the back of this print, which was sold then for 15 cents. In homage to this great and profound artist, Piski Disk will donate the same amount from the sale of each copy of this C.D., to the Van Gogh Foundation. To the spirit of Vincent van Gogh who sparkles within the brightest stars of his own expression. As a genuine gesture of my deepest empathy and respect, for such a profoundly misunderstood artist and man, I dedicate Sleep Now Forever to him, as he gave Sorrow to us all. Special thanx Josette van Gemert, at the Van Gogh museum, and to all those true friends who gave us support and courage. Sleep Now Forever was recorded at Velvet Hole, deep in the dark heart of Bad Faery Wood, between 1994 and 1999". Durations are not listed on the release.
