A.k.a. Sods
Danish punk-band founded 1977 as "Sods". After using both names for a while, in 1984 they definitively changed name to "Sort Sol". Claasic line-up: Steen Jørgensen (vocals), Peter Peter (guitar), Lars Top-Galia (guitar), Knud Odde (bass), Tomas Ortved (drums). Since the mid 90's one member after another left the band; Peter Peter in 1995, Knud Odde in 2001 and Lars Top-Galia in 2004 and it’s not certain that the band still exists. Singer Steen Jørgensen is missing one arm, reputedly due to his mother using the now banned medical drug Thalidomid during pregnancy. The band got back together 2010 and did some gig's and released "The Blackest Box" a collection of all there albums re-mastered in 2011. They toured again from April-August 2013 and closed the 2013 Tivoli season. Sort Sol are back in the studio recording new tracks for the first time sence 2002. The first single "Whip Angeles" from the studio sessions should be released in April or May. They will be on the road touring Denmark promoting a possible new Studio album release starting in April 2014.
