1967-1970 Founded in 1967 by Lou Whitney (1943-2014): Bass and Vocals, Lou would go on to found Springfield, MO bands The Skeletons and The Morells. Lead Singer: Big Fred Congdon joined in 1968 Other Band Members: Freddie Smith: Organ, Chuck Sifferd: Drums, Gary Bailey: Trumpet, Mike Wolfenbarger: Trumpet, Stephen Logan: Trumpet, Tiger Miller: Saxophone, Jay Corder: Saxophone, Alan LaVerne: Guitar, Jim Edwards: Guitar They recorded a whole album of tunes that were never released. Just one 45 on Champ records. They played shows in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia and Tennessee. On many occassions they backed Arthur Conley and played shows with Wilson Pickett.
