Started in the late 1990s Soul Estate or The Soul Estate are a jazz rap group from Basingstoke Hampshire UK consisting of emcee Brassik, and producers and DJ's Dirty Hairy & Ill Treats ( from Production duo Dirty Treats ) The trio recorded hours of unreleased music, and freestyles to mini discs and tapes evolving from the bedroom and eventually in 2004 they recorded ' The EP' but as a duo since Ill Treats was living in Leeds. They released ' The Ep in 2005 and made 300 cd copies on the home made tip but never pressed up vinyl or sought out label support. In 2006 Ill Treats rejoined the group and moved south to Brighton and rented an apartment with Dirty Hairy on the sea front. They turned it into a joint studio and recorded together with Brassik the 2nd 'unreleased EP 3 Styles ' in 2007 . This Ep remains still remains shelved.
