Tijuana, Mexico based artist Gerardo Cedillo aka Sébastien Vorhaus launch his new exciting project (with guest appearances by Berlin-based Albert Vogt and previously on back to back DJ sets with 4004), entitled Soul Of Hex. He already boast material on the likes of MCDE, Quintessentials and his own Vicario LTD. The new project which has already seen huge support from Larry Heard (leading 2 remixes of his own ‘Lip Reading’), is a multi-instrumentalist live and visual show showcasing his newly formed, sophisticated of a jazz and analog house amalgama sound. Taking influences from Detroit via Berlin and with a knowledge of house, jazz, funk, soul and disco which goes way beyond his years, with close links to, and a residency at The Wherehouse club in Tijuana, a Boiler Room set under his belt, a blistering live set currently being prepped, a remix and support from Larry Heard. After that he released on Jimpster’s Freerange with a succesful EP entitled ‘’The Muth’’ with Rhythm Section’s Peckham hero, Henry Wu remix. Following the release of the third Soul of Hex EP, Sleep Mistakes, which dropped earlier this year on CVMR, "Sleep Mistakes ft. Albert Vogt" retains a organic house aesthetic with smooth and subtle jazz-infused bass licks, loose percussive lines, soulful vocal stylings, and bright Rhodes chords that all tie together in a compelling and waning atmospheric house sound. His DJ & live sets are a wild journey to his brilliant mind of this young boy.
