Folk group based on the Faroe Islands. Formed in the mid-1970's by Dane Kristian Blak and native Faroese Magnus Pauli Poulsen, they shortened their name to Spælimenninir in the mid-1980's. Members are from Faroe Islands, Denmark, Sweden and Scotland.
