Band,
Hip-Hop/Rap
Norwegian rap group from the city of Bergen. Piddi and Gest performed together on stage for the first time around turn of the year 1996/97. Apapndus joined the two in the end of 1998, and they formed the group "Verbally Vicious". Trost joined in 1999, and Apapndus left the group in the same year. At the same time the group changed name to Spetakkel (meaning "noise", "uproar"), and started writing lyrics in norwegian. In the spring 2001 Leven joined as the DJ. While working on a five-track EP they met Tomtom, who started producing for the band. Getting the EP released took a long time because the group decided to release and finance it themselves, but in late summer 2002 the EP "Opp av bekkalokket" was finished. The EP was distributed by Tuba Records in the middle of October the same year. The group started thinking about making a full album, and they signed with Tuba Records in the late summer 2003. The album Spetakkel was released on October 10. the same year.
