Again and again the musicians met each other for jam sessions, to feel out moods and atmospheres and to grasp them. „Our main concern was taking these moods and collectively developing them into finished pieces,“ says Ron Spielman. The material was collected, enriched, thrown away or developed further. Finally »Sweet Songs for the Dying« was recorded live in the studio. With time it became clear to us that something special was arising, a fully new interpretation of an old style.
