From Pembrokeshire in south west Wales, Spurious Transients is a band that grew out of the experimental music project of Gavin Lloyd Wilson, with musical influences from the worlds of jazz, electronica, psychedelica and krautrock. The name was originally inspired by a recalcitrant drum machine, and has several meaning that appeal to the bandmembers, e.g. random bursts of noise, or individuals of a transient nature coming in and out of the band. This latter interpretation of the name is quite apt as the band line-up is quite fluid.
