A.k.a. Stacey Swain, Jon St. James, John Van Tongeren, Rich West, Karl Moet Q (16)
Short-lived 1980s California synth-pop project that came after Q (16) and prior to Stacey Q's and Jon St. James' solo careers. Members worked in various arrangements both before and after SSQ's existence. In a radio interview on September 22, 2006, Swain revealed that the idea for the name SSQ actually came from Jon St. James. She said that he was fishing in a lake "no bigger than a bathtub" and made a joke that the boat was the "S.S. Q," a reference to his and Stacey's current band, Q.
