Stephane Fania (spelled Stéphane Fania in French) is a Canadian musician active since the mid-1980's. He played in several new wave, heavy metal and hard rock bands including Unmarked, Alter-Ego, Leading Edge, Strike Anywhere, Boize, Emissary and Breaking Violet. He owned and operated H.Q. Studio from 1993 to 1998 and worked as a studio engineer at Studio L'Essence for a brief period in the mid-90's. He founded the publishing company Klink Publishing in April of 1991, the record label U-Iliot Records in early 1992 and the film production company Klink Productions in early 1997. Steph also owned two concert venues in Montreal; Club Rage on Parc Avenue (from August of 1994 to October of 1996) and the Purple Haze on Saint-Laurent Boulevard (from October of 1996 to May of 1998). He also booked shows and was the soundman at the metal concert venues the Cathouse and the Backstreet Underground. He now owns the Art11 art gallery in downtown Montreal. He is the cousin of drummer Danny Fania.
