Staffan Rydén, born December 16, 1950 in Örebro, is a Swedish opera singer, as well as opera, music and culture director. Rydén has been Vice President of the Royal Dramatic Theater until 2008. He has previously been Managing Director of Folkoperan, which he founded together with Claes Fellbom. From 2010 he was head master of the Högskolan för scen och musik at University of Gothenburg, which he left when he was named the Västra Götaland Region's cultural director in 2013.
