Stan Brakhage (born January 14, 1933, Kansas City, Missouri, USA – died March 9, 2003, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada) was an American avant-garde filmmaker, who produced over 300 films. He is considered to be one of the most important figures in 20th-century experimental film.
