American novelty vocalist and songwriter from Lyons, Nebraska (1910-1969). Is also credited simply as Stan Fritts. Apart from singing, Fritts also played trombone, drums, jug, and washboard with Freddie "Schnickelfritz" Fisher And His Orchestra. When the band broke up in 1938, shortly after completing their work on the Warner Bros. movie "God Diggers in Paris," Fritts took part of the members and founded The Korn Kobblers, with whom he performed nationally between 1938-1954.
