Stanton Jazz Club Orchestra was a Jazz Big Band which existed from the early 1970ties up to 2014 - it was founded by a group of traditional jazz enthusiastics, who arranged and transcribed all the music for their bandbook by themselves. This orchestra was a fix part of Austrian traditional scene and played more than 150 Gigs in the legendary Jazzland in Vienna, played together with some famous jazz musicians such as Eddie Lockjaw Davis or Warren Vache and even performed as opener Band at the last vienna concert of Lionel Hampton 1998 in the Vienna "Konzerthaus" - the orchestra mainly played the music of Ellington, Basie, Moten and other big band heroes from the 1930ties to the early 1960ties
