Musician of Jazz
Danish jazz and ragtime pianist, teacher, writer and translator (May 10, 1944 – December 11, 1998) In the 60's he played with a.o. Basse's Rag & Skiffle Service. In the 70's he released a number of ragtime LP's. In 1972, as Mr. Joe’s Ragtime Group, "A Danish Tribute to Classical Ragtime", and in his own name "The Many Faces of Ragtime" (1974) and "Livin’ A Ragtime Life" (1977), released in The Netherlands, the latter aided by Neville Dickie and Danish writer writer/guitarist Lars Kjædegaard. In the 90's he played with Clausens Strandløver . His last release, the posthumously released "Nous Deux" (2000) are duets with jazz clarinetist Peter Sten Jacobsen. In 1995 he won The Danish Crime Novel Academy's award for best debut novel.
