Stefan Lohse
Even before his first encounter with Super Nintendo, Stefan Lohse has already been fascinated by the possibilities of sound. Since then he has been in search for the perfect harmony of synthetic and natural sounds together with his brother Break SL. Ideally, this culminates in warm and emotional but still danceable tracks. If somebody asked him the “Analogue-or-Digital”-question, he would always let the needs of the final product answer this question. Inspired by the classics from Detroit and Chicago, he is into the 808-sub bass just as he gets enthusiastic about field recording. Early on, he was open to Techno’s sound architecture since he is a member of the drummer group „Erstes Sächsisches Trommlercorps Niederlungwitz” in his hometown near Dresden. There, he is responsible for the timpani – better known as bass drum.
