Electronic and Soundtrack (Soundtrack, Experimental)
Paul Wong is a multi media artist/performer who commissioned a number of soundtracks for his performance and video pieces in the late 1980's. Tracks 1 - 8 on this collection are recordings made for the Self Winding performance which took place as part of a British Edge arts festival in 1988. These tracks were originally edited into a finished recording for the show, but that edit has since vanished. As such, the original track ordering has been lost. Track 9 is the soundtrack for the performance piece Body Fluid which was performed in the parking lot of the Harbor Tower in Vancouver in 1986. The final piece is the first collaboration with Paul Wong in 1985 and features the poetry reading of Joolz, a poet and performer well known in the "modern primitive" movement in the UK.
