Subtle fluttering fragments that boarder on the inaudible float across the stereo image and rest on the fringes of perception are interspersed with glitchy shards that dance on the edge of the speaker cone and threaten to pierce through into the room The newest collection of works by Seattle sound artist Steve Barsotti featuring works for invented instruments, organ and field recordings. This disc also contains a collaboration with fellow Seattle Phonographers Union member Perri Lynch. Using a similar format for audio playback as the Union we set out to see where the Seattle Phonographers Union left off and where we as a creative entity began outside of that collective. We diverged from the “rules” of the Union to further distinguish ourselves.
