Canadian singer, songwriter and musician born 1948 in Montréal, Quebec. Attended Tri-State College in Angola, Indiana where he played with a folk rock group called Gross National Profit. After college he moved to Toronto where he became popular on the coffee-house folk circuit. His first breakthrough with songwriting was having "Times And Places" recorded by The Shadows Of Knight in 1968 which led to recording opportunities and more interest in his publishing catalogue.
