A.k.a. Steve Lawson
Steve Lawson was born in 1950 in Ruston, Louisiana. At seventeen Steve was a featured pianist-organist at Mammoth Motor Inn in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. After returning from home, he recorded his album, Happilana, an album of piano covers of some of his favorite songs. The title track of the same name was written by Steve as a reflection of the sounds and tempo of the Rocky Mountain country that inspired him. Happilana was recorded and produced by Americana Recording Studios, a studio founded by his parents in their hometown. Steve died suddenly in 2008. He is survived by his wife, two brothers, three children, and four grandchildren.
