D'aprês le film de Robert Bresson "Several Years ago, I planned a project, still unrealized, that involved removing every scene with humans in it from a film by Robert Bresson. This is a kind of second cousin… I removed all of the dialogue from side 1 of the soundtrack to Bresson's 'Process de Jeanne d'Arc', leaving only the incidental sounds. My edits, not perfect, left bits of whispered beginnings or endings of words. On side 1 of the LP ther is an audible musical instrument: a horn. I sampled the horn, and manipulated it to generate a tonal bed. The sleeve is made up of fragments of the original LP cover. The titles were generated from the letters that make up Bresson's and the film's name. I like very much how the sounds of the original vinyl resemble the little crackling sounds of a very small fire.
