Canadian Blues guitarist Steve Rowe’s approach to Blues comes from 50’s Chicago urban sound and 60’s British Blues. Although largely self-taught, he was influenced by Michael Bloomfield, all of the Kings (Freddie, Albert, & B.B.), Buddy Guy and Eric Clapton. Distinctions include 15 nominations from the Quebec Lys Blues Awards for “Best CD" and "Best Guitarist”, and all of his recordings have made it into the Top 20 CDs in the US Living Blues Charts, as well as Toronto’s Maple Blues Mag. Steve’s first album was filmed and broadcast by Bravo Television, and this third album, “Front Rowe Center”, was presented in a nationwide broadcast by Rogers TV, Live from the Ottawa Bluesfest! His latest anthology album called “The Urban Bluesman” was nominated for yet another Lys Blues Award, plus Steve is scheduled to be the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2017 event.
