The Stockholm Philharmonic Wind Quintet has existed as an ensemble since 1956 and is today (1969) one of the most sought after Swedish chamber groups both in their homeland and abroad. The Quintet made its longest and most notable tour during eight weeks in South and Central America in 1967 and appeared in 1969 at the Camden Festival in London, the I.S.C.M in Hamburg and Les Semaines Musicales in Paris, besides touring in Holland and Switzerland.
