From Trondheim, and probably the first band in Norway with big influences form the new NWOBHM scene in England. Straw Dogs music was ranging from headbanding to horror. Some may say Norways first heavy metal band with a metal attitude specially from vocalist Gilly Hunter, and a sound between heavy metal and hard rock. The band started april 1978 by Gilly Hunter and Brian Walther, and broke up in 1982. First steady version of the band were Gilly Hunter on vocals, Brian Walther on drums, Tony Bogart on bass and Ariel Liston on guitar. They contributed with two songs on Kraftrock in 1980. Kenny "Blizzard" Rain and Ed "Snakefinger" Brown played guitars on Straw Dogs release Leatherface in 1982. During the bands existence Paul Simmons, Ian Red and Lesie Glass have played guitars, and Steve Bayover have played bass in the band.
