'This is Pop and Roll' - the music, the tattoo on lead singer Sam Smith's arm and the debut album from Auckland band, Streetwise Scarlet. The past few years have seen Streetwise Scarlet build terrific momentum, with opening slots for My Chemical Romance and Fall Out Boy, numerous trips about the country including the NZ Schools Tour and nationwide tours with Goodnight Nurse and Elemeno P. In 2007 their second single "Hey O" cracked the charts and follow up single "Let's Go" won The Rock Scholarship and was picked up as C4's theme song. The good news about Streetwise Scarlet has spread. Their debut record 'This is Pop and Roll' (produced by Justyn Pilbrow of Elemeno P) has been a long time coming - but well worth the wait!
